i am going to hokkaido in mid feb for 10 days. I am planning to travel with the hokkaido free kippu pass, the regular one for 7 days, where to take the overnight train to 網走, i wonder how much will the surcharge be for the sleeping cart? if not taking the sleeping cart, does it mean just to sit upright, regular seat for the night?? and how to make reservation? can anyone help?  |

I think that some people have talked about it here, please search for the information. It's like 6300 for the berth, plus an amount of express surcharge.

Yes.
If you buy Green pass, you can use B-Type berth for free.

Make reservation in Green Windows in JR Stations in advanced. Show your Hokkaido kippu pass when you make your reservation. |

| no, you don't need to pay for the surcharge if you have Hokkaido kippu pass (both ordinary & green). |
